Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran, born March 10, 1949 is an American businesswoman and investor. She is also a lecturer, consultant, columnist syndicated, speaker, author, and TV presenter. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real-estate brokerage. In 2001, it was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company within a short time. Corcoran, one of ABC's first Shark investors, has been a part of every episode of Shark Tank. As of February 2020, she's signed 53 deals for the show, with the biggest being a $350,000 investment for 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second in the family of 10 children who was born in Edgewater. Florence, her mother was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was constantly moving between jobs and another throughout Corcoran's youth. Her family often depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocery store. Corcoran recalls that her father was an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, particularly after the fact that he was drinking. Corcoran was a struggling student throughout school. She later discovered that she had dyslexia. Corcoran began high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood after having attended an Catholic primary school. Corcoran who was in the process of failing numerous classes in her first year of high school, was transferred to Leonia High School. There she received a grade of D.
