Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born on March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara has received a variety of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also won two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress while she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Alongside John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the main casting in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy started work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
