Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress from the United States. She is most famous for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the seventh season Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian, with English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said that she is a part of Passover seders.
